WISN Surveys near Bunkie, Louisiana: Snipe Slump

In the past few days, we have been in a snipe "slump."  On the 13th, I found 32, and on the 15th, we found 15.  So, we are still getting them, but not in comparison to what we have been previously.  We are however, moving south, and are hoping to pick more up again soon near the coast.

We have been picking up many other coastal birds, including black-necked stilts, white ibis, glossy ibis, dowitchers, and yellowlegs (all seen yesterday).  All of these species were found near a crayfish farm south of Bunkie, Lousiana.
